Canon LV-7320 and Projector Lamp

Our latest review centers around a projector that was produced by Canon and a number of other companies in the early part of the decade. This projector is the Canon LV-7320. The LV-7320 is a LCD projector that doles out the spectacular specs like large goops of potatoes on Thanksgiving. The projector was first manufactured in April of 2000 and was immediately well received by the projector savvy public. The projector was so popular that it continued to be manufactured much longer than most projector’s are – fifteen months to be exact. The last of the units was manufactured in September 2001. So, yes it has been a long time since Canon produced one of these units, but they still garner interest and the projector lamp for this unit is a popular seller.

The projector lamp for the LV-7320 is a 150W UHP projector lamp, that generates an outstanding 1250 ANSI lumens - well above the average for projectors manufactured in this time period. Besides having a solid projector lamp, the projector features some other specifications that make the projector a competitor even today.

For instance, the LV-7320 weighs less than 10 pounds and has a respectable contrast ratio of 250:1. The projector operates with a 4:3 aspect ratio, which some people enjoy more than the modern day 16:9 ratio. The projector also has a stunning maximum resolution of 1280x1024 pixels on the LCD panel, which is impressive even today as we approach 2006.

We ran the projector through a number of tests, including a “quick flip” PowerPoint presentation that included mostly high resolution photographs. We find that this is one of the most effective ways to see if the projector is living up to its resolution claims, try it yourself sometime. The LV-7320 performed beautifully and the photos were as sharp as they appeared on our computer screen.

Overall, MyProjectorLamps.com recommends this projector. If you are able to find this unit, purchase it. Projector lamps are available from this website for the unit by clicking the link here.
