Sanyo PLC-SU10N w/ 120W Projector Lamp

The Sanyo PLC-SU10N is probably best described as an oldie but goody and when we say oldie we mean oldie. This projector is probably the most ancient projector that is still popular and that we still receive requests and inquiries for. The projector might be the last one released in the 20th century, as it debuted in October 1999 just before the terrible Y2K computer meltdowns (ha!).

The Sanyo PLC-SU10N features a 120W UHP projector lamp that lasted for 2000 hours in 1999. However, now the lamp is available right here at myprojectorlamps.com for $274.99 and our upgraded version will last for 6000 hours. Ah, you gotta love technological advances! The projector lamp pumps out 700 ANSI Lumens with a contrast ratio of 250:1 in economy mode and 300:1 at its maximum output. The projector boasts a native resolution of 800x600 and a maximum resolution of 1024x768 making the picture more than capable of handling office presentations and even your favorite television programs and movies.

The projector looks like a bulldozer, it is square with a footprint of around 8 by 12 inches that stands on blue support stands. The next time you are in a board room somewhere, look at the projector, if it is boxy and black with blue foot stands, chances are it’s a Sanyo PLC-SU10N. The projector was extremely popular for offices around North America and many companies have kept the projector on board as it rarely fails and has been known to last for a really long time – providing it is cleaned and maintained regularly.

I took this projector to my cousins 4th grade class to help her with a presentation on frogs. The projector worked beautifully, we taught her how to use Microsoft PowerPoint and inserted a lot of pictures into the slide show. They all showed up crisp and bright and the class including the teacher really enjoyed the entire presentation. The only drawback was at one point the fan came on and started humming pretty loud, but it soon faded back to a quieter level and everything went smoothly.

Overall this projector is a solid machine, I would recommend it for any teacher looking to spice up the classroom a little bit. You can probably find one for under $300 too! So what are you waiting for?
