Sharp XV-Z9000U; Popular Theater Solution, Powerful Lamp

The Sharp XV-Z9000 or Z9000U as it sometimes known, is a powerful, practical projector that is widely used in home theaters throughout the United States. The projector is powered by Texas Instruments’ widely distributed DLP or Digital Light Projection system. It is also one of the first projectors to move to a 16:9 HD aspect ratio, meaning that it can play movies in the exact proportions they were meant to be played and with the high-definition quality picture you have grown to love so much.

The XV-Z9000U was a pioneer in the projector industry because of the aforementioned aspect ratio and its high-definition quality picture; but it also has many more features that make it a consumer favorite. For example, the XV-Z9000U has a stunning contrast ratio of 1100:1 making those dark scenes in your favorite thriller or horror movies delightfully detailed. The Sharp XV-Z9000U also uses one of the most powerful and stable projector lamps in the industry.

So, why is it important for your projector lamp to be stable? Well, projector lamps are finicky products, they operate by shooting electricity across an arc gap that is highly pressurize with mercury vapour, which in turn creates the brightest light possible. Without this “UHP” technology projectors would be pretty pathetic. The main drawback to this powerful but delicate technology is sometimes the projector lamps lose pressure and become duds.

The projector lamp inside the Sharp XV-Z9000U is above the curve on this issue and the projector lamps inside this machine and their replacements (sold here at MyProjectorLamps.com) tend to last longer than usual. In fact, the BQC-XVZ9000/1 projector lamp is slated to last for 2000 hours and usually does. The projector lamp can purchased by clicking the link found here.

Overall the Sharp XV-Z9000 projector is a quality unit if you’re looking to build that dream home theater you’ve always wanted. For our part here at MyProjectorLamps.com we give this projector our approval.
